Collaborative

Feeding Care

Infant feeding challenges can involve multiple factors including oral function, coordination, and developmental patterns.

Our center takes a collaborative approach to care and may work closely with:

  • Pediatric dentists

  • Pediatricians

  • Speech-language pathologists

  • Occupational or feeding therapists

This interdisciplinary approach helps ensure that infants receive the most appropriate support for their individual needs.

Infant Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands-on technique that may help support infants experiencing tension patterns that can affect feeding and comfort.

Using light touch, this therapy aims to help release areas of tension and support improved mobility and coordination in the body.

Support may include:

  • Gentle bodywork to support feeding coordination

  • Support for infants experiencing latch difficulties

  • Assistance with tension patterns following birth interventions

  • Post-frenectomy bodywork to support improved oral mobility

  • Support for infant comfort and relaxation
